The first three segments of this Shunpiker's Journal feature a gentleman you’ve heard on our program over the years - Rod Alberts, executive director of both the Detroit Auto Dealers Association and the North American International Auto Show.

Rod and his team recently announced that the January 2019 NAIAS will be the last dead-of-winter show. For 2020 they’re moving it to June, when the sun shines and we can be outside. Cobo Center will still be the venue but media, industry folks and public attendees will find some outdoor attractions as well. In the meantime, Rod offers a preview of this winter’s show along with plenty of other auto show punditry.

A Shunpiker's Journal, hosted by Steve Purdy, covers the stories of its host and others who shun the turnpikes and freeways of America to better enjoy the businesses and life that revolve around the automobile.
