Sara Parkinson is the Director of Communications and Talent for Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) where she manages their social media, website, and the Talent & Placemaking department. She also manages the Public Art for Communities program and the City of Lansing Sense of Place in the arts program in hopes of creating a more welcoming Mid-Michigan for talented peoples to gravitate to. Actively working to tell Mid-Michigan’s story to the state, the nation, and the globe, Sara co-hosts the show Pure Lansing on Michigan Business Network.
Sara has previously worked as a MultiMedia Marketing Specialist for LEAP, developing their brand through web, social media, and print materials. She received her B.A. from the School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State University and completed graphic design courses at Lansing Community College. She lives with her husband and their golden retriever, Jarvis.
