Xia Men, China and Lansing, MI - Build Tourism & Economic Relationship

Xia Men and LansingAs the key host of Xia Men Tourism Lansing Promotion Event, Michigan Business Network invited CBS channel 6 and Lansing State Journal on September 11, 2015, to attend. During the event, Michigan Business Network and CBS channel interviewed China's Xia Men Tourism. In addition, Lansing State Journal interviewed Chris Holman after the event to follow up the story between Lansing and Xia Men.

Senator Debbie Stabenow, Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero, and the Director from Xia Men Tourism Administration, Mr. Kong Shu Guang, made a speech to introduce both cities, Lansing and Xia Men. In addition, several videos about Xia Men and Xia Men tourism were shown, and five memos with different departments from Lansing and Michigan were signed. A representative of Michigan Travel agents also signed a memo with Xia Men in order to organized more Michigan people to visit and understand Xia Men. All attendees enjoyed the meeting.

Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero and Chris Holman visited Xia Men in 2014 and enjoyed their trip. They have continued to follow up in building the relationship between the two cities, with a goal of having more Michiganders visiting Xia Men, as well as continue building a strong relationship.

Chris Holman and Lansing State Journal will continued to update and co-report the relationship between Lansing and Xia Men and hope to build tourism and economic relations between the two cities.

Welcome to Xia Men and Welcome to Lansing will be the key words in both cities. The Lansing State Journal and Michigan Business Network would like to work with the media from Xia Men to continue reporting the story between the cities, as they work toward building a better future together.
