Taylor Kelsaw talks with Scott Reschke CEO, SiN: Tuebor Video Game Company about new artificial intelligence game, Tuebor.

The launch of Tuebor from Strength In Numbers Game Studios brings Reschke back to Show Biz Weekly with updates and more on this Lansing, Michigan startup company. Video games are a multi-billion dollar business and Reshcke’s SiN Studios: TUEBOR is not exception. The idea behind Tuebor came about through his previous business with computers and IT work, and that passion sparked a light that took off into becoming a video game concept.

Reschke’s shares some insight on how you try to build a start up in Michigan and especially in the Lansing area. There are difficulties in how you gain potential investors trust and structure their return to be the goal sought in the success of the project so that you can continue to build and grow.

Gamers are a complex and brutal pack, and the success of video games are built on word of mouth and not jut on marketing and branding, but the big game companies spend millions to gain an audiences globally, and start up companies don’t have those types of budgets. A Kickstarter campaign is underway for SiN Studios: Tuebor so that he game can continue to reach a core demographic.

Tuebor.jpgWhat is surprising and exciting are the many firsts that are a part of TUEBOR. First, introducing Artificial Intelligence/Life and its evolutionary elements are a clear uncharted territory. This work was provided by the lab work conducted by Dr. Christoph Adami and Dr. Arend Hintze both of Michigan State University’s departments of: (Adami) Professor of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics, Physics and Astronomy and Computer Science, and (Hintze) Professor of Gamming at the College of Communication Arts and Science. Plus an openly gay character is a major character in the game.

Reshke’s inclusionary vision of the game was to make sure there was diversity and for the fist time in video game history, a character who was married to his same sex partner is a hero as he seeks revenge on for those who murdered said partner. “Manco” is the character’s name, and is voiced by SBW’s Taylor Kelsaw. TUEBOR also features Michael McCallum as the voice of “Klynt”.

Where the game is headed is up to gamers and our listeners to go play TUEBOR at “Steam” where your playing the game increases awareness and is shared throughout the Steam universe. Go to www.tueborgame.com to play. Some of the voices provided by: Scott Reschke, Tim Barron, Michael McCallum, Patrick Harney, and Taylor Kelsaw.
