September 10, 2015 11:36 AM

Business Spotlight, Russell GlasbyChris speaks with Russell Glasby, Director Of Sales at Treetops Resort and Spa of Gaylord, Michigan, reflecting on the tremendous summer they have had, and their goal of operating with excellence. They discuss the changing of the season, and the variety of guests that come to the resort to play the best golf in the United States.

Russell discusses the color tours and travelers that come through the course. He reflects on how he graduated from Northwood University and drove down to Florida to become a 20-year professional on the PGA tour, so his leadership at Treetops is unique. Treetops has the Robert Trent Jones Sr.'s final masterpiece golf course, which is a great legacy. They are the closest full service resort to Detroit Metro, which makes it a great destination for company events and conferences. Treetops is gearing up for events, such as Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) member mixer retreat at the end of October, which Michigan Business Network will be on hand to cover.

Michigan Business Beat, hosted by Chris Holman, discusses economic development, new or unusual entrepreneurial initiatives, and successful business practices from different regions and industries around Michigan with a wide range of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
