Treasury: Business Taxpayer Seminars Being Held in Traverse City

Treasury Outreach Team Covering Topics Related to Taxes, Wages and Audits

LANSING, Mich. – Business taxpayers can attend two seminars in Traverse City next week to learn more about taxes, wages and audits, according to the Michigan Department of Treasury.

In partnership with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the state Treasury Department will host a Tax and Wage Seminar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 9 that covers recent law and policy changes affecting the way businesses pay employees and file taxes.From 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on July 10, the state Treasury Department will host a Tax and Audit Seminar that covers the entire business tax process, including sales, use and withholding tax basics, collecting tax, and filing and payment rules, as well as verifying tax obligations through the audit process.

Glenn White“These seminars are a great opportunity to meet with Treasury representatives and have your questions answered,” said Deputy State Treasurer Glenn White, who oversees Tax Administration programs. “Regardless if you’re a new, growing or established business, sign up today for tips on how to comply with your business’s tax responsibilities. This is a free service provided by the Michigan Department of Treasury.”
