Shane Trejo, Executive Director of the Michigan Tenth Amendment Center talks with host Patrick A. Heller in July's episode of 'Dollars and Sense'. The interview was conducted at the Radisson Hotel in Lansing during the Libertarian Party of Michigan state convention.
The Michigan Tenth Amendment Center promotes reserving to state governments the powers not granted to the federal government by the Constitution, as specified in the Tenth Amendment. As part of its activities it is also working to curtail civil asset foreitures, goverment spying on the citizenry without warrants, advocating the ownership of gold and silver as alternative monetary systems to the US dollar, and mandatory installation of "utility smart meters."
Shane provides some insights on trading in paper money in for gold and silver making it more of a voluntary "gold standard". Shane is working at the state level to educate and make it possible for citizens to trade in their paper for a gold and silver.
