Mackinac Island, MI., Nov. 13, 2017: Original Murdick's Fudge on Mackinac Island is ready for the holiday gift-giving season with fresh fudge, crunchy brittles, buttery caramel corn and mouthwatering toffees.

These handcrafted, all-natural and gluten-free treats are made from the Mackinac Island Murdick family's original 1887 recipe. While most businesses on Mackinac Island close for the summer season at the end of October, Murdick's is shipping Sweet Treats for Thanksgiving including Pumpkin Fudge and Brittles. And, their family will be re-opening our island fudge shop on Dec. 1 through Dec. 18 to make Pure Michigan holiday confections, including 12 flavors of fudge.

Delta Dental Foundation, MESSA Launch Program to Replace School Drinking Fountains

Okemos, Michigan — As part of its “Rethink Your Drink campaign,” the Delta Dental Foundation has teamed up with MESSA for the “Water’s Cool at School” program, which will provide new drinking fountains for some Michigan schools.

The program is designed to ensure children drink enough water during the school day and avoid sugar-sweetened beverages. The Delta Dental Foundation and MESSA will commit $100,000 toward replacing and installing new water filling stations to schools across Michigan that apply and are selected for the program.
