Hope Park features The Butterfly Effect, the First Place and People’s Choice 2018 ScrapFest winner, as well as a park bench handcrafted by veterans from Zero Day, a Lansing based organization that provides job training, housing and support services for Veterans who have served our country.

The program from stage were a blend of individuals instrumental in that quarter century. There was also lively performances by Billboard charting artist Phil Denny and national recording artist Taylor Taylor. Hope Park has been designed to provide REO Town residents and visitors with a vibrant neighborhood space for reflection and inspiration.

Old Town Lansing ScrapFest Winning Sculpture to be Installed at Cinnaire’s 25th Anniversary Community Art Dedication

SilverFest 25th Anniversary Celebration Wednesday August 1st.

Cinnaire, a non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides creative loans, investments and development services to support community development, has announced that the company has acquired The Butterfly Effect, the First-Place winner and People’s Choice Award winner from the Old Town Commercial Association ScrapFest X. Created by team Artistic Iron, The Butterfly Effect is a nine foot tall arbor adorned with more 80 butterflies and an intricate network of vines, roots, branches and tendrils hand cut from aluminum, rebar, steel rods and cooper. The unique artwork was acquired in the live auction at ScrapFest. The sculpture will be the centerpiece of Hope Park, a community garden dedicated at Cinnaire’s REO Town headquarters on August 1st during the company’s SilverFest 25th Anniversary Celebration.

Cinnaire Cares Announces Donations

We have an unwavering belief that all people deserve the opportunities provided by living in healthy communities.

The Cinnaire Cares initiative is a companywide staff-funded and driven charitable program that was developed by our employees.  Cinnaire Cares provides an opportunity for our team to support our mission by contributing twice monthly to a fund that has been established to support staff nominated charities. In addition to financial contributions, Cinnaire staff are actively involved in volunteering their personal time to support our non-profit partners. We are excited to announce the latest Cinnaire Cares donations! In this funding round, our staff contributed a total of $5,480. Each non-profit selected this round will receive $1,096.
