The Michigan Creativity Group was thrilled to participate in the first annual Princess of Suburbia Empowerment Tour on Saturday September 30, 2017, at the West Campus of LCC, Lansing Community College.

MCG co-founders Jason LaFay and Jeff Croley along with two students from DeWitt High School - Evan Hughes and Issac Jen - listened to some inspiring live/remote presentations from the following speakers at Lansing Community College's West Campus:
Chris Holman, Dr. Sherri Henderson, Princess Fumi Hancock, and Dan Hagfors. The session was also video live streamed to Dr. Princess Fumi Hancock's network.

Lake St. Clair SMART Water Initiative Launches To Collaborate On Critical Technology

DETROIT. September 29, 2017--A consortium of some of technology’s brightest minds has been assembled to share critical data to address Lake St. Clair’s environmental challenges. The goal of this initiative is to develop a systematic approach to addressing lake issues, while creating the tools to provide a better understanding of lake dynamics and the land-water interface at the watershed scale.

Dubbed the Lake St. Clair SMART Water Initiative, the consortium is led by startup CitiesRising Technologies and includes the Michigan Office of the Great Lakes, the Institute of Water Research at Michigan State University, the Aspen Institute, Nicolas Institute for Environmental Policy Decisions at Duke University, Microsoft and ESRI.

Delta Dental Foundation, MESSA Launch Program to Replace School Drinking Fountains

Okemos, Michigan — As part of its “Rethink Your Drink campaign,” the Delta Dental Foundation has teamed up with MESSA for the “Water’s Cool at School” program, which will provide new drinking fountains for some Michigan schools.

The program is designed to ensure children drink enough water during the school day and avoid sugar-sweetened beverages. The Delta Dental Foundation and MESSA will commit $100,000 toward replacing and installing new water filling stations to schools across Michigan that apply and are selected for the program.

DeWitt Golfers and Creative Leadership students Joey Croley and Anthony Joseph along with Talent Developer Jeff Croley speak with former PGA Tour golfer Dan Pohl at the Michigan Business Network Luncheon at Eagle Eye Golf Course. Dan, a native of Mount Pleasant, had multiple PGA victories and played on the USA Ryder Cup team that was led by Captain Jack Nicklaus. He also is the only player in history to record back to back eagles at the Masters. He came in second at the Masters that year after losing in a playoff to Craig Stadler. Joey and Anthony were at the event as current educational game changers, entrepreneurs, and co-hosts of the podcast show Students United: Mobile Minds Flipping Society on the Michigan Business Network.
