Lucas Holliday - Vocalist, and band member of  “Tell Yo Mama”, joined Taylor and Michael, just off of becoming a major viral sensation in 2016!  The talented Lucas Holliday is a Lansing, MI native and his fan base is increasing in large numbers. While on his job at the Dollar Tree store one of his long time friends captured him on video singing a Maxwell song. The video soon-after went viral, reaching over a million views. It then captured the attention of “Good Morning America” and host Robin Roberts. They interviewed Holliday and surprised him with the Grammy Award singer Maxwell and offered Holliday a guest appearance on stage to sing at the Palace in Auburn Hills! This sudden rise in attention opened doors for many shows, including the 5th Annual Phil Denny and Friends Holliday Collective, and his new EP “Next Holliday”.

Segment 2: Taking you back to where it all began for Holliday, we discover his childhood interests in music. He sang in many different choral groups growing up and was introduced to a lot of types of music. Which included classic vocal styles from barbershop music, pop, and jazz.

Segment 3: Growing up he imitated singers like Marty Robbins, Frankie Valli, Al Green and even Whitney Houston. He also studies legends like: Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway, Ray Charles, and James Brown! “I Got Soul" is heard during this segment from Holliday’s EP!

Segment 4:  At 17, Holliday wrote and recorded his first rap song feature, and his love and passion for writing became a cathartic process of escape for him. He continued his vocal and musical studies at Lansing Community College.

Segment 5: Holliday offers advice to up and coming young artists and shares that there’s been so much attention being offered towards his career from many avenues, and he has began to address those questions. Has he heard from top television shows yet? Perhaps, but you will have to follow him on social media or us to find out!

Segment 6: Holliday shares how he would love to perform with Stevie Wonder who also was schooled in Lansing at the Former School for the Blind. What’s up ahead for the singer, songwriter is unexplained and undetermined, but Show Biz Weekly thinks it is going to be amazing. Taylor and Michael have a good feeling you will be hearing and seeing a lot of Lucas Holliday up ahead and will have him back on soon! Check out all of his pages: Happy New Year!
