Chris Holman speaks with Christine Hollister, President, Sparrow Women's Board of Managers, and Volunteer, Sparrow Hospital.
This week Sparrow recognized a community leader with its highest honor, Founders’ Award. John O. Grettenberger Sr. was recognized with the 2019 Sparrow Founders’ Award, Sparrow’s highest honor.

Listen to Christine and Chris's conversation about her volunteering efforts those of others who support Sparrow, AND John's recognition from this week!

The award is given to a Volunteer, community member, retired Caregiver or Physician who has made a positive impact on the health of the mid-Michigan region through their involvement with Sparrow. Founders’ Day honors the spirit of our founders, the 114 charter members of the Women’s Hospital Association.

These women opened the hospital’s doors on March 18, 1896, and the Founders’ Day celebration is held on or about this date to remember their vision and dedication. Past recipients of the Founders’ Award include the late Michigan State University hockey coach Ron Mason, business leaders Dick Iding and Alton and Janice Granger, and last year’s winner, James Butler III

MBN will also be sharing photos and audio gathered at the Founders' Day celebration Tuesday March 12th at Sparrow Hospital, stay tuned for that story as well.

Choose Wisely. Choose Sparrow.
