Taylor Kelsaw talks with Teri Hanson, starring as Baroness Elsa Von Schraeder from The Sound of Music, at the Wharton Center, in Lansing. Ms. Hansen shares her experience with the show and its reinvention of the showcase of fine art from the original production that was scored and staged before it was an Oscar winning movie.
Ms. Hansen sheds light on working with kid actors and what a joy it has been to watch them grow up in front of everyone.
A Detroit native, Ms. Hansen will have lots of friends and family coming out to catch her performances. There are still tickets available.
We also discussed Ms. Hansen's album of “Long Songs” of Rogers and Hammerstein. The album will be for sale after the performance, and Ms. Hansen will come out and sign each one purchased at the end of the show.
An undergrad and honorary Ph.D of Fine Arts recipient from Central Michigan University, Ms. Hansen is a local girl done good!
