Does a person buy in to the leader first or the vision? Can we convince people to dedicate themselves to the mission without proving our essence as a leader? Recently, I presented to a conference sponsored by the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals and these questions came up between my presentation and another presenter. I've asked Captain Greg Michaud of the Michigan State Police to help me sort through these questions.
