Chad Badgero, Arts Education Program Manager, Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs (MCACA) shares the excitement of Michigan Festivals and Events Association (MFEA) receiving the services to the field grant and the capital improvement grant. Chad and Sue discuss the grants awarded on a state wide basis and the need for additional funding as many grant request could not be filled. They also talk about the importance of art and business of MFEA and MCACA, the upcoming 2017 festival and event magazine versus the extremely popular calendar of events brochure, the education coming to convention this fall. Chad and his team will be presenting a grant writing workshop at the convention in Kalamazoo November 3-6, 2016.
