Eat, Drink, Ski, Repeat on an ALL New Trail Fit for Everyone!

GAYLORD, MICHIGAN – Treetops Resort, ‘Michigan’s Most Spectacular Winter Playground’ is once again embracing the upcoming winter season with a gourmet adventure named Skiable Feast for a reason.  Back by popular demand for the sixth season, the Skiable Feast fills each week with foodie fun and is hosted trailside.

This year, the trail takes guests on a new, main campus trail adventure fit for everyone one to enjoy – winter novice to expert! The trail begins just outside of the Jones Masterpiece Golf Shop and travails down the driving range towards the Extreme Tubing Run and three of the picturesque downhill ski slopes, then through a tunnel of trees steeped in a valley with ridges on either side, the trail eventually meets up with “Potato Railroad”, a nice gentle flat originally named as it was an old railroad grade.

Potato Railroad leads to 40 acres of beautiful open land, just before approaching a tree lined path that takes guests over a natural spring. After a trip around the 40 acre parcel, guests will make their way back to Potato Railroad and travel across the base of the downhill ski slopes toward the final stop. Along the way, guests will check into a preserved “lean-to” before heading onto the short homestretch of trail - a tree lined path with more natural springs.

Beyond the trail adventure – there’s a new progressive foodie experience
A foodie showstopper on the 2019 Skiable Feast is Smoked Pheasant Soup. Guests should think firecracker roasted corn, smoked pheasant stock, wild rice, and Granny Smith apples. The Treetops Resort Culinary team is preparing for a progressive experience highlighting five stations each uniquely themed. Guests might find a Charcuterie station with gourmet cheeses, locally smoked & cured meats, dried fruits, and grilled breads with chef selected wine, or you might ski up to a chocolate themed station. The greatest ‘Outdoor Culinary Experience’ for guests of all ages and trail expertise to enjoy.

This winter’s Skiable dates are:
