The Bold and Daring Role of "Medium Allison"

Show Biz Weekly

Abbey.jpgShow Biz Weekly catches up with actress Abby Corrigan who is recently played the lead role of Medium Allison in the musical "Fun Home" at East Lansing's Wharton Center June 6-11.

At the tender age of 19 Abby Corrigan set out to the stage as a quest of what was inside her from very early in life: to perform! Ironically or not, Corrigan’s landmark stage reception has landed her in the role of a lifetime as “Medium Allison”. This role derived from Lansing, Michigan’s own Lisa Korn’s book Fun Home, which has also won multiple Tony Awards!

The story of Fun Home, is moving, riveting, truthful and deliberately delivers you with questions, especially for Allison, who is brought to life by 4 different actors throughout the performance, at 4 different stages in her life. Medium Allison happens to also be 19, and the parallels between the two (Abby and Allison) are almost uncanny. The stage is brought to life and Corrigan continues to shine in over 250 performances thus far. Go see Fun Home!
