Chris Holman speaks with Katie Hubbard, Health and Wellness Specialist, Sparrow Health Care System, Lansing, MI. Sparrow is addressing this prevalent health concern by offering a six-week seminar series on Memory Care and Aging as an educational service. Free community learning sessions are part of Sparrow's mission to improve the health of the people in our communities by providing quality, compassionate care to everyone, every time.

The educational sessions will feature Patient-centered, evidence-based best practices on topics including Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, age-related memory loss, brain health, exercise, nutrition, and advance care planning.

As an added service to the people of the mid-Michigan region, everyone who attends the Senior Health Series: Memory Care and Aging, will receive a binder of resource information on Sparrow health care services to take home for future reference.

Sparrow believes that education is an effective way to empower and engage seniors in improving their own health and quality of life.
