Jeffrey Mosher visited Sparrow Hosptial recently to find out all about a new routine that began in Mid-October 2018.
All new moms and babies want is a little peace and quiet. That’s why Sparrow has become the first hospital in the region to implement a daily Quiet Time in its Mother Baby Unit. This initiative 1-3pm daily allows moms and newborns to get the rest they need without interruption.
During this time, no visitors are allowed (except mom’s support person), hallways lights are dimmed, and non-urgent hospital procedures are minimized. It’s a time for mothers and babies to get undisturbed rest, heal and bond, and it’s why we’re a Baby-Friendly Hospital and the region’s premier birthing center.
