VIDEO: Retrained and Re-skilled | Roger Curtis

Roger Curtis

Director of the Michigan Department of Talent and Economic Development (TED) Roger Curtis addresses the talent issue here in Michigan with Michigan Business Network’s Chris Holman. Today’s workforce is ever changing and Roger explains that as a worker “you are not done learning” and he adds that,  “studies show that kids today are going to change jobs 15 times in five different industries.” People are going to continually have to be retrained and re-skilled and this requires a change in our education system. The solution? The Marshall Plan. It has been put in place by Governor Snyder to do some innovative work to solve these talent issues. The plan will provide grants to schools to develop classes and programs for the high-demand careers in Michigan.
