MSAE Legislative and Public Policy Conference is Quickly Approaching!

MSAE LPPCThe Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) Legislative and Public Policy Conference is quickly approaching. Take note as various task force members discuss the conference highlights and topics.

In segment one and two, Dr. Veronica Wilkerson Johnson, Director, University of Michigan Lansing Center, discusses the conference highlights; while Bonnifer Ballard, Executive Director, American Water Works Association—Michigan Chapter informs us about the Flint Water Crisis Pre-Conference; The Facts, Not the Politics.

In Segments three and four, Dr. Stephen Bell, Michigan Osteopathic Association, will provide highlights on the opioid epidemic and treatment versus incarceration.

And then in segment five and six, we will have Laura Kopak, Director of Government Affairs and Community Relations, Mechanical Contractors Association—Detroit tells us about the resurgence of Detroit. While Barry Cargill, Executive Director, Michigan Association for Home Care discusses the four legislative priorities: criminal justice spending, auto insurance rates, energy and FY 2017 budget.

Donna Oser, CAE hosts Association Impact, which looks into what some of Michigan’s top professional and industry groups are doing to make a positive impact for their members and for the state of Michigan. As part of MSAE, Association Impact works with all associations in Michigan.
