GRAND RAPIDS, MI) – Reliance Community Care Partners (Reliance) is proud to announce the grand opening of its Integrated Wellness Center, which will allow the organization to provide integrated and holistic mental health services to adults in the Grand Rapids community. In addition, unique and specialized mental health services for older adults will be offered at this new location. 

The Center will provide care for a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, mood and palliative counseling, with a focus on care for older adults. As part of the Grand Rapids community since 1979, the Reliance staff has extensive experience and training in working with older adults. The Integrated Wellness Center is led by a team of 12, including a specially trained geriatric psychiatrist, one of only two in West Michigan, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner, which is also unique in the state of Michigan. Reliance works to treat the whole person and provide coordinated health care with other community providers as well.

The new 3300-square foot facility is located at 2100 Raybrook SE in Grand Rapids. The Center is barrier free and was built with a focus on privacy, confidentiality and ease of use for each client, in a warm and inviting setting. It is located on the GRATA line for clients who utilize public transportation. Reliance has been providing mental health support services in another location since 2011.

“Individuals with emotional support needs should not be required to wait several weeks to receive care,” said Steve Velzen-Haner, LMSW, MM, Executive Director at Reliance Community Care Partners. “We created this center to provide greater access to these supportive services, in an accessible space, so that we can provide care to everyone.
