March 24, 2019 event highlights benefits for young learners

OKEMOS, Mich. – St. Martha School recently announced an affordable way for children to receive a private education in Okemos. Along with this announcement comes a new event for families to learn more about the St. Martha difference.

Prospective Family Day at St. Martha School is Sunday, March 24, 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to learn more about the St. Martha School difference from alumni, teachers and Pastor Michael Murray. The event includes tours of the new facilities, including the new, full-size gymnasium, welcoming classrooms and modern media center.

“Our academic excellence is built on a foundation of low student-to-teacher ratios, modern facilities, distinguished alumni and, most important, a warm, nurturing environment,” said Andrea Patton, St. Martha School principal. “The affordability is especially attractive for young families. The learning environment, however, is what truly makes St. Martha a leader.”

The new K-8 tuition is $1,000 annually which equates to just $25 a week. Lowering tuition allows more families to explore the possibility of a private school education. St. Martha School believes that cost should not hinder a family’s ability to send a child to the school of their choice.

One of St. Martha School’s main differentiators is the low student-to-teacher ratio, resulting in a higher level of learning, above average standardized test scores and notable alumni. For area families, the school offers parents an opportunity to choose the best learning environment for their children.

“St. Martha’s provided a solid foundation for my education and faith,” said David Lenz of Lansing, a school alumnae who is a licensed architect and Board of Water and Light commissioner. “I am grateful for the great start that St. Martha provided me.”

Located in the heart of Meridian Township, St. Martha caters to today’s students with new facilities, extra-curricular activities, community garden and partnership with area public schools for athletics.
