While on the island, for this year’s Mackinac Policy Conference, Chris caught up with Teri Battaglieri, ‎Director, Communications, Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy, Delta Dental of MI, OH, and IN - ‎Delta Dental of Michigan. They discuss the record attendance, for this year’s conference. Teri notes that she isn’t surprised noting the conference pillar related to urban education. Delta Dental plays a role in assisting children’s health in order to not miss as many days of school. Healthy Kids Dental Program has been progressing to more portions of the state. Chris and Teri discuss health, and dental health and how it impacts education that then impacts the talent gap which has been challenging Michigan the past few years. They also note how many health issues can be detected during regular dental visits. Teri also cites some of the other great initiatives Delta Dental of Michigan has become involved with.
