Jena McShane-Lansing, MI based photographer and photojournalist McShane has made a name for herself with her “reality” photos. McShane Photography was a dream that became a reality because of her father’s career choice and decision to relocate the family from Missouri to Michigan and enroll at MSU to earn his degrees, including his eventual Ph.D.

Like her father became fascinated with geology and had decided to study the curriculum at MSW, and two years into it, found photography was her real desire and left to pursue her dream. This led to a real fascination with storms and capturing their beauty and fragility they can bring.

McShane’s love of geology combined with photography has taken her on many storm-chasing adventures and today she considers herself a storm chaser as well as photographer.
