leap1500 New Jobs Coming to Lansing Region with New Customer Service Center

LANSING, Mich. – An enduring story of premier customer service will soon expand its narrative to the Lansing region. Founded in 1863, Morley Companies has evolved through two centuries into a corporate meetings and incentives, exhibits and displays and business process outsourcing customer experience leader serving Fortune 500 companies around the world. Today, Morley announced its next state-of-the-art customer experience center will be located in Delta Township/Lansing, Michigan.

“While over the last three years we have opened several customer service centers across the country, we’re excited to be able to continue to grow in our home state of Michigan. The strong and large pool of talent in the Lansing region is critical for the type of growth our company continues to experience, as we partner with some of the largest corporations in the world. The strength of the Lansing community and the quality of the potential new associates in the region made this the right decision for Morley,” said Morley CEO Paul Furlo. “Our work is about delivering extraordinary experiences to our clients and their customers. Our culture is all about family, doing what’s right and providing an environment where people can bring their best selves every day. We have a lot of fun too. Being able to select Lansing as a catalyst for our next chapter of growth is a proud moment for us.”

Working to fulfill its mission to build a stronger community for all, the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) delivered critical services to bring Morley’s contact center to Delta Township, which will result in the addition of 500 new, competitively paid jobs and the rehabilitation of a longtime vacant building on a major commercial corridor.

Importantly, local support from Delta Township was outstanding. The township created a commercial rehab district to help facilitate the renovation of approximately 140,000 square feet at 4300 W. Saginaw Highway, along with a Façade Improvement Program grant. The building is set to be renovated beginning winter 2020, with operations beginning by summer 2020.

“LEAP and our partners from across the region, are on a hot streak in beating out national competition to attract leading companies who recognize the region’s strong talent pool is a key growth opportunity,” said Bob Trezise, President and CEO of LEAP. “Attracting great companies like Morley that offers competitive pay and the experience of working within award winning Fortune 500 company cultures, cultures that value people and partnership, are a piece of what makes the Lansing region a top ‘big, small city’ choice for emerging professionals looking to launch their careers.”

As the company ramps up to 500+ competitively paid jobs in the first three years, many of the positions are expected to draw interest from the region’s strong base of high school and associate degree graduates and attract job seekers from around the state to Lansing.

"Delta Township is pleased to welcome Morley Companies to the community,” said Delta Township Supervisor Ken Fletcher. “We applaud them for their investment and are pleased to assist them by using a Commercial Rehabilitation Exemption and Façade Improvement Program, as they revitalize an underutilized facility and create 500 jobs here. We look forward to a long and positive working relationship.”

In addition, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) announced a performance-based $1,000,000 Michigan Business Development Program grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund to assist with Morley’s job creation and investment.
