LANSING, Mich. – Grabbing a quick snack just got a little easier with the addition of goPuff, the first digital convenience store, to the Lansing region. GoPuff was founded by two twenty year old college sophomores in Philadelphia who began by delivering late-night snacks around campus from the back of their Plymouth Voyager. Now five years later, with the help of 700 employees, goPuff is delivering product in over 70 locations around the US including major Midwest markets such as Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH, Des Moines, IA, Indianapolis, IN and Madison, WI. As of this morning, goPuff has officially opened a new service center at 2619 East Michigan Avenue in Lansing, which is also goPuff’s first operation in Michigan.

goPuff’s new service center is located along Michigan Avenue, a key commercial corridor with great proximity to the campus of Michigan State University and a key site selection factor for goPuff.

The new goPuff service center will stock more than two thousand products—from snacks and ice cream to basic grocery items—that are ordered via a free mobile app and delivered anywhere within a five mile radius for a flat $1.95 delivery fee. goPuff’s incredible growth over five years reflects changing consumer expectations and a technology-oriented approach that is particularly prominent with Millennials and Generation Z.

Gillespie Group owns the building and has spent recent months rehabilitating and retrofitting the space for its newest tenant, to the tune of approximately $300,000—reflective of a growing trend among property owners and real estate developers who are reinvesting in buildings along Michigan Avenue.
