Chris Holman is joined by Barry Owens, general manager at Treetops Resort, in Gaylord, MI. They talk about the golf season, which was very good and went well into fall. In fact, on December 23, they hosted an Ugly Sweater Golf Tournament and had 52 players participate. Some skied and golfed on the same day!
They now have plenty of snow and are at 100% skiable terrain. They offer skiing, snowboarding, extreme tubing, ice skating and much more during the winter. Treetops also is offering the Skiable Feast, which is cross country skiing or snow shoeing with five gourmet food and beverage stations. This event finds you at Project Nature, which is beautiful, as you ski by the Sturgeon River, vistas and old buildings.
Another event you can participate in is the Wilderness Sleigh Ride Dinner, which includes a 20 - 25 minute sleigh ride through the woods to the Wilderness Cabin, where you enjoy a 4-course meal with assorted beer and wine.
On January 29 - 30, Gaylord is hosting the first ever Snowmobile Festival, which is sure to be fun! There is many diverse things to do in the winter at Treetops Resort!
