A townhall, and panel discussion accompanied the release of MVCA’s 2016 Annual Research Report. While on hand for the event at the Madison Building in downtown Detroit, Chris spoke with Chris Thomas, Founder and Partner with Fontinalis Partners, of Detroit which also has an office in Boston. He finds out about Fontinalis Partners which since 2009 has focused on the mobility sector. They have ties to, but are separate and distinct from Ford Motors. This fund looks to leverage the best of old and new in Detroit.
The episode wraps up with the sixth part of excerpts looking at how the annual research report helps MVCA get in many doors, along with reviewing the feature known as the Landscape Guide which can be found on their website. Executive Director Maureen Miller Brosnan wraps this up covering the important role MVCA plays regarding advocacy for venture and angel capital along with entrepreneurs.
