Tuesday May 14th, Jeffrey Mosher visited East Lansing and the back parking lot of Sparrow's Michigan Athletic Club. CarFit is a free program designed to assist older drivers in adapting themselves and their vehicles in a way that maximizes control of what they’re driving, as well as offering the most protection. It’s an especially important issue for anyone who has an elderly loved one who still drives. Sparrow and AARP of Michigan are sponsoring a special event.
Here, Jeffrey speaks with Micki from Sparrow Health System and Karen from AARP Michigan to find out all about the event.

In this event, recently trained technicians go through a 12-point checklist of vehicles, recommending adjustments to participants that could make them “fit” better and enhance safety. Nearly 100 people have signed up for the checks, and while on hand near the halfway point nearly 60 vehicles had been reviewed.
