Economic DevelopmentMichigan Business Network partner, Consumers Energy, was a corporate sponsor at MEDA's annual meeting this year, and Dennis Marvin, its Community Engagement Manager, spoke with Chris about how the traditional focus of Consumers Energy has been on industrial, manufacturing and commercial companies, but there is definitely a focus on residential clients as well.

They discuss the importance of sustainable energy, highlighting the windfarms and solar projects in the state. In addition, Consumers Energy is staying engaged with colleges across the state to recruit engineering talent. These are all important for the economic development in Michigan.

Michigan Business Beat, hosted by Chris Holman, discusses economic development, new or unusual entrepreneurial initiatives, and successful business practices from different regions and industries around Michigan with a wide range of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
