CARSON CITY, MI —  The Center for Women’s Healthcare – a longtime OB/GYN practice in Carson City – has joined Sparrow Medical Group as part of SMG OB/GYN Carson City to provide the most comprehensive care in the region.

Effective today, March 1, J. David Spencer, D.O., FACOOG, of SMG OB/GYN Carson City will be joined by an additional Sparrow obstetrical and gynecological team at 639 East Main Street in Carson City. This new team includes Michelle Becher, D.O., FACOOG; Shelly Betancourt, WHNP-BC; and Jan Russell, OGNP, of the former Center for Women’s Healthcare.

As part of Sparrow Carson Hospital and Sparrow Health System, the combined practice is committed to providing quality, compassionate care to every Patient, every time.

“The coming together of our two clinics is a needed step for our community. There will be greater access to providers, and Patients at each of our locations will have the added benefits of an entire health system. As we align our services, our technology and our resources we can ensure a smooth integration for our Patients,” Dr. Becher said.

Dr. Becher, along with Betancourt and Russell, will continue to practice at their current locations in Carson City, Ithaca, St. Johns and Mt. Pleasant.
