Brings Life-Saving Medical Isotope Production to the U.S.
LANSING, Mich. (Apr. 11, 2023) — Tuesday, the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) joined Niowave representatives, U.S Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), Capital Region International Airport leaders and local elected officials to announce the expansion of both the Airport’s Cargo Ramp and radioisotope manufacturing industry leader Niowave’s expansion of its Port Lansing location.
EAGLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (April 4, 2023) – The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) has submitted more than 100 letters of support for the proposed Michigan Manufacturing Innovation Campus (MMIC) in Eagle Township from individuals, businesses, alliances, and nonprofits from the tri-county area and beyond. The list of supporters includes small business owners, property owners, teachers, and business leaders. The letters will be received by the Clinton County Planning Commission, the Clinton County Board of Commissioners, and the Eagle Township Board of Trustees.
Grant Seeks to Strategically Strengthen Regional Child Care System
LANSING, Mich. (March 13, 2023) — The Lansing Region’s vital childcare industry is taking a significant step forward thanks to a Regional Child Care Coalition Planning grant from the Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC). Led by the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), with Capital Area Michigan Works! (CAMW!) and the United Way of South Central Michigan (UWSCMI), LEAP received a $150,000 grant to support the Capital Area Child Care Coalition (CACCC) to connect, strengthen and expand the regional childcare ecosystem.

The One and All Program Continues to Accelerate Economic Mobility in the Lansing Region
LANSING, Mich. (March 7, 2023) – Twenty entrepreneurs from Ingham County have been selected to participate in One and All program seven! This will be the first cohort solely funded by Ingham County, through the Ingham County Sunrise Program created in April 2021 using $11 million from the county’s first tranche of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.

Latest Expansion in Charlotte Reinforces Lansing Region's Growing EV Manufacturing and Supply Chain Prowess
CHARLOTTE, Mich. (Feb 7, 2023) — Today, the Shyft Group (NASDAQ: SHYF) announced plans to continue investing in and expanding the company's facilities in Charlotte, Mich. Shyft will invest approximately $16 million for expansion and improvements in facilities and new equipment related to the production of electric vehicles (EV).
