Chris Holman talks with Kurt Rankin, Vice President and Economist, The PNC Financial Services Group, Pittsburgh, PA area about some areas of economic strength Michigan has going into 2017.

Chris and Kurt review where the economy is at the end of 2016, and some of the projections for 2017. Mr. Rankin sees some upside potentials next year, especially in the second have of the year. They discuss the newest Michigan Future Business Index and what it sees for Michigan, then touch upon the impact of a presidential transition. Infrastructure projects could impact the pace of the economy going forward, the talent gap remains and wages pressures and inflation will be watched.
