2016_01_21_MBB_1-21_S1_Tony_Vernaci-3.jpgDuring MEDC's Tony Vernaci's recent trip to Farnborough, England for the airshow in July, he was invited to a meeting with Liebherr Aerospace and the German Aerospace Industry Association.  The meeting was to discuss issues the aerospace supply base is experiencing from price pressures the big OEM’s like Boeing and Airbus are passing down.

As a result of that meeting he was invited to come to Germany where Jeffrey caught up with Mr. Vernaci over in Europe. He was speaking to that nation's industry group’s annual meeting to present how Michigan's auto industry responded to these same pressures from OEM’s like Chrysler, Ford and GM that started in the 1990’s.  This is another example of the crossover benefits between aerospace and automotive.
