Sparrow Health hosted the 22nd annual Doug Griffith Community Service Award Breakfast honoring a local labor leader. This event, attended by numerous political, labor, and community leaders, recognizes an outstanding individual in labor in the mid-Michigan region.

Here are excerpts of Glenn Freeman III being honored May 12th, along with Childrens Miracle Network family's coverage. Freeman serves his union and community in numerous roles. The morning also focused on the Sparrow Children’s Center, the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

The announcement was a surprise to Freeman. Sparrow’s involvement in the event reflects our strong partnership with our unions and the labor community. All proceeds benefit the Sparrow Children’s Center, the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. The occasion took place at UA Local 333 Plumbers and Pipefitters Hall, 5405 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Lansing, MI.
