Michigan Business Beat
July 14, 2015 9:00 PM

EventsDuring June, we continued to share portions of the presentations from this year at the Detroit Regional Chamber's 2015 Mackinac Policy Conference. These segments are from City of Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan's late afternoon keynote.

During this portion of the address he covers ways in which the city is working with Governor Snyder's administration, and then he goes into - at length - the issue and possible solutions to the Detroit schools issue which remains complex even after the city has emerged from its own bankruptcy status. These excerpts wrap up as Carol L. Cain, Senior Producer and host of Michigan Matters, who is also a columnist for Detroit Free Press, interviews Detroit Mayor Duggan, covering questions including the timing of when he tackles issues impacting that city.

Michigan Business Beat, hosted by Chris Holman, discusses economic development, new or unusual entrepreneurial initiatives, and successful business practices from different regions and industries around Michigan with a wide range of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
