The mission of the Michigan Chicken Wing Festival is to promote community interest through food and music. The event involves bringing together a culturally diverse agenda to the community at-large to experience a wide variety of culinary chefs/restaurants, musical artists, merchants vendors from across the state.
Chicken Wing Festivals have been in existing for 26 years in the UK and through out the United States. One of the most notable ones being in Buffalo New York with inception in 2002 with an attendance of 40,000 and non-profits in their area has received in access of $200,000 and serving over 3 million chicken wings.
We have officially inducted Michigan in a Festival that has staying power in bringing communities together. Offering local and national business more exposure to the communities, while supporting the Arts and offering local non-profit organizations in the area an opportunity to gain more community support.
The Festival will have a Wing Eating Contest; where the winner will be crown King/Queen of the Wings. A Wing Tasting Contest; where patrons will decide which vendors has the best wings, dubbing the King/Queen of Wing Vending.
There is a $10 charge to enter the Wing Eating Contest; where you will be eat all the hot wings you can in 5 minutes (limited to the first 10 people - SATURDAY ONLY). Wing Tasting Contest - $10 entry fee - limited to first 10 people. You will visit a selected number of Wing Vendors and sample their wings and vote on the Best Wing Vendor. (SATURDAY ONLY)
All other patrons will have the options of purchasing food from the Food Vendor of their choice. Join us for three (3) Great Family Fun filled Days. The Festival offers a great opportunity for non-profits to participate as a fund raiser for their organization.
